A Greater Plan is comprised of footage shot in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. This sparsely populated landscape is comprised of prehistoric rock made up of predominantly marine and near-shore sedimentary layers from the Cretaceous period when this area was under water. The Powder River Basin produces forty percent of the coal used in the United States yet the current mines have approximately twenty years life expectancy before they are depleted of coal. In order to remain viable, the mining companies have no choice but to expand their operations contributing to further depletion of the land as they progress.
